Carriage House 1808 is a beautiful historic home in Lebanon, Ohio where my family and I grew up and have wonderful memories. Once the house was eventually left to my siblings and I, the dilemma became: What do we do with this 5 bedroom home?
We decided to provide families, business men or women or couples a “HOME AWAY FROM HOME” in historic Lebanon, Ohio. We would like to make your stay when you travel as comfortable as possible. No more hotel rooms! No more living out of a suitcase! No more being cramped or having noisy people next to you because now you have a WHOLE HOUSE, not just a room. Not only do you have an entire house, but you have one with a rich history and plenty of stories to tell!

Location
The location of our home is perfect for vacations. We are 2 blocks from the historic Golden Lamb. Lebanon is known for its “antiques” and if you want to spend a day “antiquing”, we are 15 minutes from Waynesville, Ohio, the antique capital of Ohio. A few other highlights close by are a park, tennis courts, golf course, walking distance to the quaint downtown and a train at the end of the street for tourists to enjoy. Besides the attractions in Lebanon, you will only be 45 minutes from Cincinnati or Dayton, 15 minutes from Kings Island and 90 minutes from Columbus, Ohio, our state Capital.
I-71 from North (Columbus)
Exit #32 (Route 123 West). Travel to the fifth traffic light and turn left onto East Street.
Pass the tennis courts and turn right onto Wright Avenue.
Follow Wright Avenue to S. Mechanic St. Turn right and 229 S. Mechanic St. will be on the left
I-75 from South (Cincinnati)
Exit #29 (Route 63). Travel east on 63 to Lebanon.
Go past Broadway St. and turn right on S. Mechanic St.
Cross over the railroad tracks and 229 S. Mechanic St. will be on the right hand side.
SR 42 from North (Waynesville)
Travel South to eighth traffic light, starting at Wal-Mart, and turn left onto East Street.
Go four blocks and turn right onto Wright Ave.
Follow Wright Ave. to Mechanic St and turn right.
Our house will be on your left.
I-74 from Northwest (Indianapolis)
Travel Southeast on I-74 to I-275 North to I-71 North to exit #28 (Route 48 North).
Travel North to the fourth traffic light and turn left onto Cook Road.
Then turn right onto Deerfield Road and go one-tenth of a mile.
Take the right fork onto East Street and go four blocks, turn left onto Wright Avenue.
Follow Wright Avenue to Mechanic St. and turn right on S. Mechanic St. Our house will be on your left
About Your Host: Mary Ellen & The Rackett Family
I am the 3rd oldest of 9 children. I have always been very family-oriented. I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I am the Senior Citizen Director for Bexley, Ohio. Our home is very spacious (as you can imagine with 9 children). You will have a living room, family room, closed in porch, large kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook, one and half bathrooms, patio, beautifully landscaped back yard and 5 bedrooms to choose from. It also is on the historic register in Lebanon, Ohio.
During your stay
There are 4 of my brothers and sisters who live close-by and can come over if anything goes wrong. Otherwise, we leave you alone so you can enjoy your family time, enjoy the house, write your own stories and create your own memories .
